# Zammad

Use Cortecs models for AI features in Zammad

[Zammad](https://zammad.org/) is an open-source help desk. Connect its AI features to Cortecs with the custom OpenAI-compatible provider.

{% hint style="info" %}
Before you begin, create a Cortecs API key by following the [Member quickstart](/member-quickstart.md) and choose a text model from the [model catalog](https://cortecs.ai/serverlessModels).
{% endhint %}

## 1. Connect to Cortecs

In Zammad's admin settings, open **AI → Provider** and enter:

| Field    | Value                                     |
| -------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Provider | **Custom (OpenAI Compatible)**            |
| URL      | `https://api.cortecs.ai/v1`               |
| Token | Your Cortecs API key |
| Model | The exact model ID from the model catalog |

Click **Save** and enable the provider toggle. Zammad adds `/chat/completions` to the URL, so keep the URL as shown above.

## 2. Try a ticket summary

Open **AI → Ticket Summary**, enable the feature, and select when summaries should be generated. Open a test ticket and its summary sidebar to request a summary.

If the request fails, check **AI → Provider → Feedback & Logs** for the provider response.

For more options, see Zammad's [provider settings](https://admin-docs.zammad.org/en/latest/ai/provider.html) and [ticket summary guide](https://admin-docs.zammad.org/en/latest/ai/summary.html).
