# SAP Integration Suite

Use Cortecs models in SAP Integration Suite

[SAP Integration Suite](https://help.sap.com/docs/integration-suite/sap-integration-suite/ai-adapter) connects business systems through integration flows. Use its AI Receiver Adapter to call the Cortecs [Responses API](/api/responses.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
Before you begin, create a Cortecs API key by following the [Member quickstart](/member-quickstart.md) and choose a text model from the [model catalog](https://cortecs.ai/serverlessModels).
{% endhint %}

## 1. Store your API key

Open **Monitor → Integrations and APIs → Security Material** and add a **Secure Parameter**:

| Field                   | Value              |
| ----------------------- | ------------------ |
| Name                    | `Cortecs_API_Key`  |
| Secure Parameter        | `Bearer <API_KEY>` |
| Repeat Secure Parameter | The same value |

Replace `<API_KEY>` with your Cortecs API key, keeping `Bearer` and the space. Click **Deploy**. See SAP's [secure parameter guide](https://help.sap.com/docs/integration-suite/sap-integration-suite/security-deploying-secure-parameter-artifact) for details.

## 2. Configure the AI adapter

In your integration flow, add a **Request Reply** step and connect it to a receiver using the **AI** adapter's **Custom-OpenAI-REST** variant.

| Tab        | Field              | Value                    |
| ---------- | ------------------ | ------------------------ |
| Connection | Address            | `https://api.cortecs.ai` |
| Connection | API Key Alias      | `Cortecs_API_Key`        |
| Processing | Configuration Type | **Advanced**             |
| Processing | HTTP Method        | **POST**                 |
| Processing | Relative URL       | `/v1/responses`          |

## 3. Send a request

Before **Request Reply**, add a **Content Modifier**. Set the `Content-Type` message header to `application/json` and the message body to:

```json
{
  "model": "<MODEL_ID>",
  "input": "Summarize in one sentence: A supplier has delayed delivery by two days."
}
```

Replace `<MODEL_ID>` with your chosen Cortecs model ID. Save and deploy the flow, then trigger a test run. The response body contains generated text in `output` entries with content type `output_text`.

For adapter installation and further options, see the [SAP AI Receiver Adapter guide](https://help.sap.com/docs/integration-suite/sap-integration-suite/ai-adapter).
